Barbara L. Porter is a marketing specialist/business planner with
more than 30 years of experience primarily in the areas of
professional services, finance and education.  Clients benefit from
her multiple skills, experience and creativity in achieving world
class, measurable business solutions.

Before co-founding PorterPytko, Ms. Porter was director of marketing
at Community EMS, a not-for-profit medical transportation company
in Southfield, Mich. that offers non-emergency and emergency
transportation and consulting services. Prior to that, from 1994-
2000, she was director of marketing for the Michigan offices (Detroit,
Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids and Toledo) of Arthur Andersen LLP. While
there, the Detroit office received the firm’s Best Practices recognition
for the relationship among the practice, sales, and marketing.

From 1986 to 1992, she held positions at EDS, a global leader in e-
business and IT services, and from 1982 to1984, she was director
of financial reporting at Cranbrook Educational Community,
Bloomfield Hills, Mich.

During her career, Ms. Porter managed sales and customer relation
programs, created and managed integrated marketing programs,
directed business planning and competitive research activities,
created and implemented branding programs, supervised financial
personnel and served as an educator and a curriculum developer.

Ms. Porter earned a master’s degree in business administration
and was ranked first in class at Eastern Michigan University,
Ypsilanti, Mich. She earned a bachelor’s degree and a Permanent
Teaching Certificate at Wayne State University in Detroit.

She is president of the MBA Alumni Association, Eastern Michigan
University, and a board member of the FanClub Foundation for the
Arts, a not for profit group that raises money to support arts
education.
