Post-modern artist Victor Pytko doesn’t limit himself to acrylic on canvas – or to the canvas itself.
“I wish there was another term for artist, something that included the discovery aspect,” says Pytko, who as a
sixth-grader met Grandma Moses. “I’m an explorer and a discoverer. I’m on a journey.” Sure, he uses paint. But
Pytko, 60, works unorthodox materials including cement, PVC pipe and mousetraps into his urban landscapes,
which he sometimes creates on doors. “My favorite art store s Home Depot. They’ve got all sorts of materials for
building, but also good material for making art.”
